This policy explains what personal information Life Admin Made Simple collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. It’s written for UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Life Admin Made Simple (lifeadminmadesimple.com) is responsible for the personal information described here. If you have a question about your data, email hello@lifeadminmadesimple.com.
What we collect and why
When you join the email list. If you sign up for the First 14 Days checklist or any other download, we collect your email address and the date you signed up. We use it to send you what you asked for and occasional emails about new guides and tools. Our lawful basis is your consent, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
When you subscribe, we record how you found the site, for example Facebook or Google, so we know which content is useful.
When you email us. We keep your email address and message so we can reply. We don’t add you to the email list unless you ask.
When you visit the site. Like every website, our hosting provider’s servers log basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working.
Who handles your data for us
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf, under contracts that require them to keep it secure:
- MailerLite (MailerLite UAB, based in Lithuania) stores the email list and sends our emails. Its privacy policy is at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Our web host stores the website and its server logs.
Where a provider transfers data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and browser storage
This site doesn’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. When you arrive, a small note of where you came from (for example “facebook”) is saved in your browser’s session storage so it can be attached to your signup if you join the list. It isn’t a cookie, it isn’t shared with anyone else, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
The signup form is provided by MailerLite and loads from its servers, so MailerLite can see your IP address when the form appears. WordPress sets cookies only if you log in or leave a comment.
How long we keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Emails you send us: only as long as we need to deal with your message.
- Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider, usually a few weeks.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time, which won’t affect anything we did before. To use any of these rights, email hello@lifeadminmadesimple.com. We’ll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
